Yesterday, my nursing class went on a “field trip” of sorts. Our faculty wanted us to understand the nursing licensure process, as well as see first-hand what happens when you forget what is actually in the Nurse Practice Act. So we were up at the crack of dawn to travel to a hotel conference room where we heard about licensure from officials of the Board of Registered Nursing, followed by the Disciplinary Committee Meeting. Ten nurses were there to petition that their nursing licenses be reinstated.
(history as deputy court clerk, these people must be insane, stupid or both —>oh wait, they’re humans who had a hard time—>there but for the grace of God…)
